New Generation Innovation and Entrepreneurship
Development Centre (NewGen IEDC) is the programme launched by National Science and
Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board (NSTEDB), Department of Science & Technology
(DST), Government of India and implemented by EDII, Ahmedabad.
NewGen IEDC has a mission to “promote knowledge based and technology-driven start-ups by
harnessing young minds and their innovation potential in an academic environment”
To motivate, support and mentor students for identification, development and commercialization of their innovative ideas
To initiate targeted number of innovative student projects each year for new product development
To organize Business Plan Competitions/Innovation Camps/ Hackathons with active involvement of industry and alumni
To organize Business Plan The Government of India has drafted the National Innovation Startup Policy for a country-wide implementation. IIIT Allahabad is towards adoption of the same policy and the necessary steps are being taken. The policy document can be downloaded form here.

NSTEDB functions under the aegis of Department of Science & Technology. It has representation from socio-economic and scientific Departments / Ministries, premier entrepreneurship development institutions and all India Financial Institutions. The Programmes conducted by NSTEDB have created awareness among S&T persons to take up entrepreneurship as a career
-->Department of Science & Technology (DST) was established with the objective of promoting new areas of Science & Technology and to play the role of a nodal department for organising, coordinating and promoting S&T activities in the country. It gives funds to various approved scientific projects in India. It also supports various researchers in India to attend conferences abroad and to go for experimental works
IIIT-Allahabad organized various events throughout the year to promote knowledge-based and technology driven projects to ideate and innovate their ideas into projects. Also, events were organized to spread general awareness about technology and current happenings
-->I started PS-1925 last year and we aim to provide drone-based solutions for different sectors like agriculture, healthcare, defense, disaster management, etc. Being a part of projects and initiatives by the Government of India such as NewGEN IEDC helps us to explore new possibilities and domains possible for our drone. NewGEN has provided us a platform to achieve this with its on-going set-up of class-apart innovation laboratory at IIIT Allahabad, a dream of every technology startup. Moreover, the mentors at NewGEN has given a new definition of how we perceive entrepreneurship. I highly recommend all the young engineers at IIIT Allahabad to consider NewGEN IEDC as a kickstart for their entrepreneurial journey

PS-1925 is a drone manufacturer, technology and service provider company that designs Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). Our company has been working on drones for past 2 years in our institution and have developed designs for radio-controlled aircrafts and drones for different applications. We are proposing “Desi Drones” for 7 major sectors that govern major shares in the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the Indian Economy.
This model presents automatic switching of street lights considering the intensity of sunlight , brightness control of lights and automatically reporting to the nearby technician on faulty condition
The device proposed here consists of a proprietary design of a corona discharge system consisting of a power unit, a Flyback transformer and a power circuit, which works with equivalent efficiency as that of the conventional oxygen plasma surface treatment devices but at a far lower cost
